This digital bundle includes both the original printable sculpture and the STL parts needed to create a two-part mold box. The finished silicone mold may be used to cast decorative objects with suitable materials such as plaster, casting stone powder, gypsum, Jesmonite-style compounds, epoxy resin and similar non-food casting materials.

SUGGESTED PRINTING STARTING POINTS

Original bust:

• Resin printing is recommended for the finest facial and ornamental details
• For FDM printing, begin with a 0.12–0.20 mm layer height
• Use supports where indicated by your slicer
• Check the model orientation and preview every layer before printing

Mold box parts:

• PLA or PETG
• 0.20 mm layer height
• 3–4 walls
• 15–25% infill
• Print the mating surfaces carefully to reduce silicone leakage

These are general starting suggestions. Final settings depend on your printer, nozzle, resin, filament, model scale and slicer.

MOLD-MAKING WORKFLOW

1. Print the master and both mold box sections.
2. Clean the prints and remove all supports.
3. Sand or seal the master if a smoother cast surface is required.
4. Assemble the mold box and seal possible gaps.
5. Apply a compatible release agent when required.
6. Mix and pour suitable mold-making silicone according to the silicone manufacturer’s instructions.
7. Allow it to cure completely before opening the mold box.
8. Remove the master carefully and prepare the silicone mold for casting.

CASTING IDEAS

The silicone mold you produce may be used with compatible decorative casting materials such as:

• Casting plaster
• Gypsum
• Stone powder casting compounds
• Jesmonite-style materials
• Epoxy resin
• Decorative concrete
• Wax, when compatible with the silicone selected
