Create a raised evil eye wall decoration with two different production methods. Print and paint the original model directly, or print the mold-making tool and use it to produce your own silicone casting mold.

TWO WAYS TO CREATE

1. PRINT AND PAINT

Print the original STL, clean the surface and finish it with acrylic paint, stone-effect paint, varnish or epoxy coating. The model includes two hanging holes. Cord and mounting hardware are not included.

2. CREATE A SILICONE MOLD

Print the mold-making tool, prepare and seal the surface, then pour compatible mold-making silicone. After curing, the silicone mold may be used with suitable decorative casting materials.

CASTING MATERIAL IDEAS

Depending on the silicone product you choose, the finished mold may be used with:

Always confirm material compatibility with the silicone manufacturer before casting.

SUGGESTED PRINT SETTINGS

Original model:

• PLA, PETG or resin
• 0.12–0.20 mm layer height for FDM printing
• 3 walls or more
• 15–25% infill
• Place the flat rear surface on the build plate when suitable
• Check the preview for bridges and supports before printing

Mold-making tool:

• PLA or PETG
• 0.16–0.20 mm layer height
• 3–4 walls
• 20% infill or more
• Seal visible layer lines if you require a smoother silicone mold
• Check the mold wall and pouring area for leaks before adding silicone

These settings are general starting suggestions. Adjust them according to your printer, material, slicer and selected model size.

BASIC MOLD-MAKING PROCESS

1. Print the mold-making STL.
2. Remove supports and clean the print.
3. Sand and seal the printed surface if required.
4. Secure the tool on a level work surface.
5. Apply a compatible mold release agent when required.
6. Mix and pour silicone according to its manufacturer’s instructions.
7. Allow the silicone to cure completely.
8. Remove the printed tooling carefully.
9. Prepare the silicone mold for decorative casting.
