ROCK WINE BOTTLE HOLDER STL + SILICONE MOLD MAKING FILES

Create a sculptural rock-shaped wine bottle holder using two different production methods. Print and finish the original model directly, or print the included mold-making parts to create a silicone mold for decorative casting.

This digital bundle contains the original wine holder and a complete printable mold-making system.

TWO WAYS TO CREATE

1. PRINT AND FINISH

Print the original rock wine holder with a suitable 3D printer. Clean, sand and finish the surface with stone-effect paint, acrylic paint, texture coating or protective varnish.

2. MAKE A SILICONE MOLD AND CAST

Print the master, mold box sections and locking clips. Assemble the mold-making system and pour compatible mold-making silicone. After the silicone has cured, use the finished mold with a suitable decorative casting material.

CASTING MATERIAL IDEAS

Depending on the silicone selected, the mold you create may be suitable for:

• Casting plaster
• Gypsum
• Stone powder compounds
• Jesmonite-style materials
• Epoxy resin
• Decorative concrete
• Similar non-food casting materials

Always check that your silicone and casting materials are compatible before use.

SUGGESTED 3D PRINT SETTINGS

Original model:

• PLA, PETG or resin
• 0.16–0.24 mm layer height for FDM printing
• 3–4 walls
• 15–25% infill
• Supports may be required depending on orientation and scale
• Use additional walls or infill if greater strength is required

Mold-making parts:

• PLA or PETG
• 0.16–0.20 mm layer height
• 3–4 walls
• 20% infill or more
• Print mating surfaces carefully
• Check the mold box for gaps before pouring silicone
• Seal visible layer lines when a smoother mold surface is required

These settings are starting suggestions. Adjust them according to your printer, filament, resin, slicer and selected scale.

BOTTLE FIT

Wine bottle dimensions can vary by brand and bottle style. Check the model dimensions in your slicer and compare the internal opening with the bottle you intend to display before printing.

Scaling the model changes the bottle opening, wall thickness, mold box dimensions and clip fit. If you resize the mold-making system, all related pieces must be scaled by exactly the same percentage.

BASIC MOLD-MAKING PROCESS

1. Print the master, both mold box sections and the locking clips.
2. Remove supports and clean all printed parts.
3. Sand and seal the master if a smoother casting surface is desired.
4. Assemble the mold box around the master.
5. Secure the sections with the included printable clips.
6. Seal possible gaps to prevent silicone leakage.
7. Apply a compatible release agent when required.
8. Mix and pour silicone according to its manufacturer’s instructions.
9. Allow the silicone to cure completely.
10. Open the mold box and remove the master carefully.
11. Prepare the silicone mold for casting.
