The finished model features a sculptural fish body with raised scales, detailed fins and tail, and a recessed candle holder opening.

TWO WAYS TO USE THE FILES

1. Print the Fish Directly

Print the decorative fish model directly with your FDM or compatible 3D printer for home decor, display, prototyping or master-model use.

2. Create Your Own Silicone Mold

Print the included mold housing components and use them to create a silicone mold of the fish design.

The silicone mold can then be used to reproduce the design using suitable casting materials such as:

Jesmonite-style casting materials
Plaster
Stone powder mixtures
Concrete casting mixes
Gypsum-based casting compounds
Compatible casting resins

Always verify that your silicone, release agent, sealer and casting material are compatible before production.

3D PRINTING RECOMMENDATION

A 0.4 mm nozzle and approximately 0.16–0.20 mm layer height are a good starting point for most FDM printers.

For mold masters, smoother surfaces will create cleaner silicone molds. After printing, sanding and applying a fully cured silicone-compatible surface sealer or filler primer can help reduce visible print lines.

Print settings may vary depending on printer, filament, scale and slicer.

If you resize the mold-making system, scale all matching mold components by exactly the same percentage.

IMPORTANT – CANDLE SAFETY

Standard PLA, PETG and similar 3D printing plastics should not be exposed directly to an open flame.

For a directly 3D printed version, we recommend using an LED tealight.

Suitability for real candles depends entirely on the final casting material, candle insert and finishing system used. The digital design itself is not certified as fireproof or heat resistant.
