3D PRINTING RECOMMENDATIONS

A good starting point for most FDM printers:

0.4 mm nozzle
0.16–0.20 mm layer height
PLA or another suitable rigid filament for mold housing components

Actual settings will depend on your printer, slicer, filament and chosen model size.

For silicone mold masters, smoother surfaces produce cleaner molds. Sanding, filling and applying a fully cured silicone-compatible surface sealer before pouring silicone may help reduce visible layer lines.

If scaling the mold-making system, scale all corresponding parts by exactly the same percentage.

IMPORTANT HEAT & FIRE NOTICE

Standard PLA, PETG and similar 3D-printing plastics are not intended for direct exposure to open flame or burning Palo Santo.

A directly 3D-printed version should be treated primarily as a decorative prototype/master unless an appropriate heat-resistant insert and suitable material system are used.

If you create a cast version for incense or Palo Santo use, you are responsible for selecting a casting material and finishing system suitable for the intended temperature and application.

Never leave burning incense or Palo Santo unattended.
