1 — DIRECT 3D PRINTING

Print quality will vary depending on your printer, filament, layer height, supports, orientation and scaling.

2 — SILICONE MOLD MAKING

Print the supplied mold components and assemble the mold-making system.

You can then create a silicone mold for repeat casting.

Depending on your own silicone and casting system, compatible materials may include:

• Stone powder composite
• Casting resin
• Epoxy
• Plaster
• Concrete-based casting material
• Jesmonite-type materials

Always test material compatibility before full production.

SURFACE PREPARATION FOR MOLD MAKING

FDM prints naturally contain visible layer lines.

For smoother silicone molds and cleaner cast surfaces:

• Sand the printed master as required
• Remove all dust
• Seal the surface with a fully cured coating compatible with your silicone
• Allow the coating to cure completely
• Perform a small silicone compatibility test before making the final mold

TEALIGHT / CANDLE IMPORTANT NOTE

The lifestyle images show the design being used as a candle holder.

For a direct filament 3D print, an LED tealight is the safer recommended display option.

Do not assume PLA, PETG or other standard printing filaments are suitable for direct exposure to open flame or candle heat.

If you create the finished product using a silicone mold and casting material, heat and flame suitability depends entirely on the material you choose. Test and follow the material manufacturer's specifications before candle use.
