WHY THE INTERIOR IS EMPTY

The main bookstore model is intentionally designed with an open interior.

You can print the bookstore shell first, then arrange the included bookshelves and books inside according to your own scene.

This gives you much more freedom than a fixed interior and allows you to create different bookstore, library or reading-room layouts.

SCALE & RESIZING

The files are scalable in your slicer.

Suitable applications may include:

1:12 scale — standard dollhouse and detailed bookstore scenes
1:24 scale — smaller dollhouse and room-box projects
1:6 scale — larger doll and figure environments

For smaller scales, fine books, plants and architectural ornaments may reproduce better with resin printing.

Current Etsy miniature furniture sellers commonly market bookcases for 1:12, 1:24 and smaller scales, with resin recommended when details become very small.

RECOMMENDED PRINT SETTINGS

For FDM, I would start around 0.12–0.20 mm layer height, a 0.4 mm or smaller nozzle, 10–20% infill, and PLA/PETG. Smaller shelves, books and decorative elements can benefit from a 0.2–0.3 mm nozzle.

Resin is preferable if printing very small versions and you want maximum detail on book spines, foliage, mouldings and façade ornaments.

Supports will depend on the orientation, scale and individual part.

CUSTOMIZE & PAINT

Print the models in white, gray or another neutral material, then customize them with acrylic paint.

The bookstore works especially well with dark green, forest green, cream, antique white, brown, brass, black, terracotta and aged wood finishes.

The blank books can also be individually painted to create a realistic colorful bookstore interior.
